Alice Hayes

Alice Eloise Hayes, 86, of Grand Bay, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Calvert on January 1, 1935 to Leonard W. Howell and Laxie Mullins Howell. She was a homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her husband, their eight children and her home. A member of Gospel Lighthouse Church in Mobile, she enjoyed gardening, drawing and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy Hayes; sons, Leonard Levon Hayes, David Anthony Hayes and sister, Martha Howell.
She is survived by her children, Glendean Hayes Harris, Jimmy Eugene Hayes, Billy Ray Hayes, Debra Kay Webb, Mitchell Gregory (Jennifer) Hayes, Alice Rena' (Gil Bowie) King, Tony Zapeda; eleven grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Clearwater Assembly of God Church in Wagarville with the Revs. Jimmie Butts and Mitchell Hayes officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Jones Beech Cemetery withLathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Hayes, Michael Hayes, Shannon Hayes, Sheldon Hayes, Cory Nicholson, Lance Nicholson and Christopher Webb.
