Alice Henson

Alice C. Henson passed away at her home surrounded by her family, friends, and caregivers on June 3, 2023. She was born November 22, 1934, in Leroy, Alabama, the daughter of Henry Jefferson and Fannie Richardson Conerly. Alice graduated from Leroy Highschool, Class of 1952. Following graduation she married her high school sweetheart Thomas Baird Henson Jr., and moved to Alaska where they lived for 7 years and had two sons on the homestead. They then moved back to Alabama in 1960 where they had another son and daughter. Alice lived the rest of her life in Washington County and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Thomas B. Henson Jr., sons Thomas B. Henson III and Russell A. Henson Sr., sister Bettye Conerly, parents, and daughter-in-law Sherdan Henson.

Survived by her son Christopher Henson, daughter Alicia Henson Jones, grandchildren Shelly Villar, Nichol Henson, Russell A. Henson Jr., Rachel Roberts, Raven Bjelke, Joshua Henson, Kaitlyn Garner, Collin Henson, great grandchildren Leigha Villar, Chloe Augustine, Ethan Villar, Mason Roberts, Cooper Roberts, and Avery Roberts, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and loving friends.

Pallbearers will be Chris Henson, Russell A. Henson Jr., Joshua Henson, Collin Henson, Jason Bjelke, and Devin Roberts.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, with a visitation one hour prior to the services. Bro. Phillip Howard officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
