Amos Johnson

Amos Lee Johnson, 90, of Grove Hill, passed away March 7, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 4, 1927 to John Dee and Allie Johnson. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be missed by his many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ruth Pope Johnson and siblings, Maynard Dee Johnson, Bernard Dee Johnson, Estell Johnson Pope and Dot Johnson Groves.
He is survived by his wife, Delouise Guy Biggs Johnson; son, Gary (Kathy) Johnson of Mobile; step-children, Mike (Flo) Biggs of Millry, Kenny (Dessie) Biggs of Saraland; foster son, Jimmie (Shryle) Baugh of Grove Hill; siblings,Clifford (Olay) Johnson of Brewton, Johnny (Betty) Johnson of Tickfall, LA, Della Ruth Johnson Le Don of Iron, Margaret Johnson Patrick of Semmes; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and six great, great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Bassett Creek Baptist Church in Grove Hill with the Rev. Chris Kynard officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery directed by Lathan Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Frankie Baugh, Phil Andrews, Darren Henson, Larry Newsom, Dale Goodman and Corey Biggs.
Honorary pallbearers will be Neal Bush, George Pugh, Julian Johnson, Estes Sheffield and Robert Fore.
