Ann Cox

Ann Garrick Cox, 73, of Grove Hill, passed away July 8, 2019 at her home. She was born November 7, 1945 to Floyd and Inez Hicks Garrick. Her career as a LPN was spent at both the Grove Hill Medical Clinic and the Jackson Medical Center. After retirement she enjoyed time at home cooking for her family and taking care of Mary Ruth and Sam. Ann was a faithful member of Grove Hill Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Inez Garrick, husbands; William H. “Dub” Knight, and Mr. William “Bo” Cox, sisters; Mary Wilson, Ruth Milstead, Glady Gregory, Beatrice Garrick, brothers; DeLand Garrick, William Garrick, Anthony Garrick.

Mrs. Cox is survived by her family of nieces and nephews; Wayne (Jackie) Garrick of Grove Hill, Beth (Ricky) Manchester of Jackson, Joe Milstead of Jackson, Michael Gregory of Grove Hill, Robin (Charlie) Rawls of Mexia, Bryan (Lucinda) Gregory of Grove Hill, Johnny Garrick of Marion, VA, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Barbara Garrick.

Funeral services will be at 11 am on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Grove Hill Baptist Church with a visitation from 10 am until 11 am with Dr. Randy Boone officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Mrs Cox’s Joy Senior Adult Sunday School Class; Ricky Manchester, Jeff Garrick, Charlie Rawls, Avery Gregory, Justin Fently, Craig Hoven.
