Anna Gibson Anderson, 71, of Gainestown, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at Springhill Medical Center in Mobile. She was born in Choctaw County on March 2, 1949 to Samuel Elijah Gibson and Rosa Lee Murphy Gibson. A member of Perry’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Gainestown, she had been a caretaker for senior citizens and had been previously employed by Teledyne. She enjoyed fishing, yard work, reading, cooking and attending church, but her greatest passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Sarah Louise Beech and Rose Marie Ivey.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Anderson; children, Robert (Lynda) Johnson, Beckey (Ray) Wallace; grandchildren, Garrison Baugh, Robin Macy Johnson, Raven Anna Johnson, Tyler Wallace, Jacob Wallace, Kristie Andrews; great-grandchildren, Avery Lynn Goodman, Laney Andrews, Jared Andrews, Kellen Andrews, William Wallace, Emma Wallace, Raylyn Wallace; brother, Charlie Lee Gibson and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Revs. Henry “Digger” Creel and Benny Crawford officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Perry’s Chapel United Methodist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Houston Anderson, Garrison Baugh, Jeff Johnson, Woodie Parnell, Jacob Wallace and Tyler Wallace.
Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Allen, Charles Anderson, Sr., Lee Anderson, Ronnie Johnson, Otis Tarver and Ray Wallace.
