Anna Belle Harrington Wooten, 93, of Jackson, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, at Robertsdale Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was born on Wednesday, September 5, 1928, in Fargo, GA to Wallace Harrington and Mineola Leviton Harrington. In 1952, she married Roy Frederick Wooten, a U.S. Marine Corp sergeant, and in 1964 the couple moved from Camilla, GA to Jackson where Fred would later retire from Boise Cascade as Woodlands Manager. Anna Belle devoted her life to being a homemaker and raising their two daughters and helping out with their grandchildren.
Anna Belle loved working in the yard, football, sewing, crossword puzzles and making general repairs around her home. She took numerous trips around the United States with her husband. She and Fred were longtime members of the First United Methodist Church in Jackson. She was a devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Wooten; daughter, Julie Wooten Boutreis and siblings, Wallace Harrington, Sarah Heskett and Janice Voll.
She is survived by daughter, Lynda White of Jackson; sisters, Bennie Willa Jennings of Adel, Martha (John) White of Lloyd, FL; granddaughters, Ashley White (Eddy) Diaz, Lindsay Powell (Bryan) Blocker, Carly Boutreis; great-grandchildren, Allie Williams, Aniston Williams, Henry Diaz, Rebekah Blocker; best friend, Barbara Hundley and numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson with the Rev. Jim DuFriend officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
