Anne Mattmuller

Anne Prim Mattmuller, 88, a long -time resident of Barlow Bend, Alabama, was born July 9, 1928, to Lillian Stewart Prim and William Frank Prim in Mobile, Alabama. She passed away on November 18, 2016, in Mobile, Alabama.





She was a graduate of Murphy High School, and Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) where she was a founding member of the Delta Delta Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She worked as a case worker and supervisor with the Department of Pensions and Security for the State of Alabama.





Survivors include one son, Frank Mattmuller (Maureen) of Tallahassee, FL; three daughters, Patsy Black (Pete) of Monroeville, Becky Grant (Bob) of Gulf Shores, Suzy Oakes, (Greg) of Lithia, FL; one brother, Billy Prim (Patty) of Mobile, and one sister, Joy Wells of Montgomery; twelve grandchildren, Jonathan Black (Meghan), Matt Grant, (Allison), Robert Black, Sam Mattmuller, Watson Black (Ashley), Anne Kimbell, Grant Neighbors (Will), Mallory Mattmuller, Anna Katherine Black, Heather Oakes Miller (Eric), Matthew Oakes (Katie), Ransom Oakes and Jamie Oakes; three great grandchildren, Anne Pavey Grant, William Grant Neighbors and John Robert Grant.





She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Robert Mattmuller and a sister, Dorothy Prim Bearden.





Visitation will be at the Gainestown United Methodist Church, Gainestown, on Wednesday, November 23rd from 1:00 - 2:00 PM with services and interment immediately to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Gainestown United Methodist Church, 16856 Walker Spring Road, Gainestown, AL 36540, or the Alzheimers Association at alz.org.
