Arnold Reaves

Arnold "Big A" Reaves, 82, of Jackson, passed away July 6, 2018 at Camden Nursing Facility. He was born October 19, 1935 to A.C. and Mary Bolen Reaves, both of whom preceded him in death. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was also a devoted husband and father. Described as a hard-worker, he had been employed at Boise Cascade as a chief tester, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Dykes Reaves; children, Kevin Reaves, Kristi Reaves and sister, Patricia (Miles) Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Revs. Stacy Harrell and Jason Gambol officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Jim Dykes, Will Booker, Blake Booker, Charles Pritchett, Tim Jones and Gary Irby.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Reeves, Doat Jones, Dane Daugherty, William Harper, Gayle Matthews and Doug Atchison.
