Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born November 13, 1937 to Claude Sims and Eva Mae Truett Sims in Coffeeville. A member of Crestview Baptist Church in Petal, MS where she had been a Sunday School teacher, she was also a retired preschool teacher at the Petal Children’s Center. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to the family she adored and enjoyed cooking meals for them and raising flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Edward Sims.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest Quitman Parden; daughters, Cindy Parden (Al) Morgan, Tammy Parden Richardson; grandchildren, Casey Morgan (John) Williams, Russell Martin (Mary Stevens) Morgan; great-grandchildren, Sarah Jane Morgan, Avery Williams, Bo Morgan, Ansley Williams and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with Bros. Don Heiden and Leon Parnell officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Center Point Baptist Church in Coffeeville with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Joe Parden, Larry Parden, Garry Parden, Russell Morgan, John Williams and Kenny Sims.
