Betty Silcox

Betty Joyce Todd Silcox, 65, of Citronelle, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at SAAD Hospice in Mobile. She was born November 21, 1954 in Washington County to Benjamin Rex Todd and Fannie Mae Wallace Todd. She had been employed as a nurse assistant at the Washington County Nursing Home and Home Health and worked at the Citronelle Nutrition Center. She enjoyed crafting and lawn care.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil “Ray” Silcox and siblings, Janet Mercer and Patsy Sikes.

She is survived by her children, Michael Dewayne Davidson, Holly Nicole Silcox; grandchildren, Christian Davidson, Shelby Silcox, Joseph Trissten Hand, Adalyn Hand, Jalyn Hand, Hayley Hand; siblings, Joann Goldman, Katherine (Gerald) Taylor, Edna (Harold) Taylor, Mary (Rayford) Carpenter, Lynn Gunter and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom with the Revs. Harold Taylor and Don Lee officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Spring Hill Baptist Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Hand, Jacob Stokes, Paul Parnell, Nick King, Jay Lewis and Trissten Hand.
