Bonnie Moss

Bonnie Faye Moss, 50, of Chatom, passed away May 15, 2017 at her residence. She was born June 3, 1966 to Daniel Lamar Carpenter and Carlyon Sue Parnell Carpenter. She was a 1984 graduate of Washington County High School and attended the University of West Alabama. She was employed by Ciba-Geigy (BASF) for 28 years. A member of Chatom Church of God, she was a proud member of the church choir and often sang solos for the congregation.


She was preceded in death by her first husband, Keith Coxwell; maternal grandparents, Ellena Parnell, Elijah Parnell and paternal grandparents, George Carpenter and Lorraine Carpenter.


She is survived by her husband, Jonathan Moss; children, Daniel Heath Coxwell, Clayton Scott Moss, John Curtis Moss; mother, Sue Carpenter; father, Jimmy Carpenter; step-mother, Sandy Carpenter; sisters, Michelle Carpenter Shelton, Janice Grimes, Nickey Andreoni, and brothers, Dallas Sullivan, Austin Sullivan and Jarrad Sullivan


Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom with the Revs. John Brown, Naomi Brown and Bob Young officiating. Visitation is planned for 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom and again on Thursday at 11 a.m. until the service. Interment will follow the service at Chatom Church of God.


Active pallbearers will be Paul McIlwain, Jacob Grimes, Mike Parnell, John Parnell, Heath Cotton and Vaden Brewer.


Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Fearn, James Hamm, Marc Brannon, Mike Maroney, Jason Clarke, Richard Ridge, Daniel Ferrouillet and Darrell Ferrouillet.
