For many years, Carol led a weekly women's bible study in her home. Her faith was very important to her and she made sure her girls were at church every time the doors were open. Carol was very active in the lives of her daughters. While rearing them, she never missed any of their activities. She was a member of their church youth committee, chaperoned many youth camps, choir tours, youth rallies and many more events the children were involved in. Carol welcomed their friends into her home & loved having a house full. She always made sure everyone felt comfortable there, whether friends or family, and saw this as an opportunity to show God's love.
After moving to Mobile, Carol was an adult reading teacher for the City of Mobile. She was involved in catastrophe relief after hurricane Katrina and the BP Oil Spill. She found pleasure in counseling families through these hardships. Carol was involved with Christ United Church where she was a proud Stephen Minister, a member of Hopeful Ministry and several other organizations. For several years, she led Faithbuilders Sunday School class and was a facilitator for an adult bible study on Wednesday nights. Carol met many wonderful friends there whom she loved & cherished.
Carol was a devout Christian, saved by Grace. The testimony she lived each day was an inspiration to many. She never met a stranger and always found a way to share her Faith with those she encountered. Her natural demeanor made it comfortable for people to love & trust her. She had a servant's heart and her family was very important to her. She gave all credit to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
