Carolyn Ferrell

Carolyn June Ferrell, 79, of Jackson died September 30, 2018. Mrs. Ferrell was born December 22, 1938 to the late Joe Douglas and Carrie Clodene Schofield. She was a member of Good Springs Baptist Church and had worked in retail management at Cato as well as Vanity Fair and Reeves Grocery. She loved flowers and gardening as well as various crafts and enjoyed birds immensely.

Mrs. Ferrell is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Frank Ferrell and Billy Ray Lowery; son, Richard Ferrell; step-son, John Lowery; grandson, Christopher Smith; and brother, Joe Schofield.

She is survived by her children, Linda Smith (Leonard "Bubba") and Steve Ferrell (Angela); step-children, Barney Lowery (Renee) and Jeremy Lowery (Leslie); grandchildren, Michelle Smith Barco (Johny), Allen Ferrell, Michael Ferrell, Tiffany Berard (Tye), Justin Barrett, Nicole Hartley (Blake), and Cordell Ferrell (Katie); step-grandchildren, Blake Lowery (Lissa), Hannah Lowery, John Michael Lowery, Haley Lowery, Gabe Lowery, and Aubrey Lowery; 15 great grandchildren; and siblings, Betty Ledlow, Judy Golden, Jack Schofield, and Sonny Schofield.

Services for Mrs. Ferrell will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Lathan Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm with the funeral beginning at 12:00 pm with Bro. Fred Odom officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be left online at www.lathanfuneralhome.com.
