Charles 'Buddy' Jordan

Charles Henry 'Buddy' Jordan Jr., 65, passed away on October 19, 2023, at Mobile Infirmary. He was born on September 15, 1958, to his parents Dr. Charles H. Jordan and Janie Bumpers Jordan in San Antonio, TX. Buddy loved fishing, golf, and cooking. He was a Black Belt in Karate and a Brown Belt in Taekwondo and was known for how fast he could move his hands. He enjoyed the discipline and precision of the art. He spent many years working in the Pensacola area as a self-taught computer programmer and an insurance agent. After retiring, he moved back home to Chatom. He was a huge fan of Alabama Football- and would always post the abbreviation RTR! instead of the full "yell" of Roll Tide Roll!

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survived by his sister Sherri (Gina) Jordan, cousins, Mike (Debbi) Bumpers, Marsha (John) Usher, Holly (Katie) Jordan, Penny Jordan, Al (Angela) Jordan, Rebecca (Fields) Scarbrough, Marcia (Nelson) Harris, many other extended family members and loving friends.

Pallbearers will be Burk Williams, Larry Hubbard, Benjamin Jones, Dodi Jones, Turner Jones, and Ben Ben Jones.

Honorary pallbearers are Mickey Mathews, Dan Detman, Steve Loony, Ross Odom, Reed McKnight, Lon Giarth, Duncan Sowell, and Jan Nicholson.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom with a visitation one hour prior to services.
