Christy Lowery

Christy Jackson Lowery, 48, of Jackson, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at Jackson Medical Center. She was born in Jackson on February 24, 1973 to Basil and Helen Jackson. A member of Walker Springs Road Baptist Church in Jackson, she enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She was a devoted softball and volleyball coach who loved the games herself.
She is survived by her parents; husband Jesse Lowery; children, Kayla (D.J.) Watson, Melanie Lowery, Kevin (Leah) Lowery, Kristie Dunagan (David) McElrath; grandchildren, Kaylee Powell, Riley Caten, Koda Caten, Rory Watson, Hadleigh Lowery, Gannon Lowery; siblings, Jim (Donna) Jackson, Angie (Francis) Rivas and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Walker Springs Road Baptist Church with the Revs. David Webb and Fred Odom officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Peniel Baptist Cemetery in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Kurt Jackson, Mac McIntyre, Ty McIntyre, Devin Rivas, Dylan Rivas and James Spears.
