Clarice Carpenter

Clarice R. Carpenter, 72, of Millry, passed away on November 19, 2023, at Mobile Infirmary. She was born December 3, 1950, in Mobile, Alabama to parents Richard Lee and Clara Myrl Howard Robinson Sr. Clarice was a longtime member of Springhill Baptist Church, where she dutifully served the Lord. Clarice served 25 years as secretary/treasurer at SHBC, she sang in the church choir, taught Sunday School, discipleship training, and GA's. She looked forward to every Sunday morning, as she loved her Ladies Sunday School Class and enjoyed fellowshipping with her sisters in Christ. She loved teaching children and being involved with her church. Clarice loved her family and worked daily to set a godly example for those around her. She enjoyed visiting and used her kind spirit to witness to others and spread the love of Christ. Clarice's kind soul touched everyone she met, she loved her family and friends dearly.

Preceded in death by her parents, twin sister Clara Lee Carpenter, brother Richard Robinson Jr.

Survived by her husband of 57 years Dale Carpenter, son Scotty (Litha) Carpenter, daughter Shannon (Ronnie) Singleton, grandchildren Melanie (Cory) Waters, Savannah (Chad) Foster, Lauren Singleton, Hannah Charles, Leah Zielenski, Luke Charles, Chloe Charles, and Abigail Charles, great grandchildren Levi Waters, Aubreigh Waters, Messiah Franks. Sisters JoAnn Singleton, Wanda Singleton, Debbie (Buddy) Tate, and many extended family members and loving friends.

Pallbearers will be Justin Dunnam, Shane Carpenter, Jason Armstrong, Darrell Robinson, Michael Elliott, and Michael Singleton. Honorary pallbearers will be her Springhill Baptist Church Ladies Sunday School Class.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Springhill Baptist Church with a visitation one hour prior to the services. Bro. Scotty Carpenter and Bro. Travis Agee officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery.
