Clinton Eugene Hubbs, 82, of Grove Hill, passed away at SAAD Hospice Retreat in Mobile on March 28, 2025. He was born in Prescott, Arizona on June 10, 1942, to parents Eugene and Louise Justice Hubbs. Mr. Hubbs grew up in Arizona, attended school there and later enlisted in the United States Army, honorably serving his country. He worked at Arizona Paper, later relocating to the Thomasville area to work for and retire from MacMillan Bloedel Paper Company. Clinton enjoyed the outdoors; he ran his own taxidermy and deer processing business. He loved to grill and to have family and friends over and entertain, he was known to pull a few pranks. He enjoyed old cars, traveling with his wife to Arizona and to her home state of North Carolina. He cherished his family and enjoyed the time spent together.
Preceded in death by his parents, son Steven Hubbs, daughter Teresa Frioux, son Rollie Davidson, sisters Patricia Wright and Shirley Rennie.
Survived by his wife of 39 years Ann Hubbs, sons; Jack (Samantha) Hubbs, Troy (Jamie) Hubbs, Rodney (Crystal) Hubbs, Allen (Wendy) Frioux, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends.
Pallbearers will be Jack Hubbs, Troy Hubbs, Rodney Hubbs, Allen Frioux, Hunter Frioux, and Steven Hubbs. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Hudson and Steve Ritchie.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson, with a visitation one hour prior to services. Bro. Kevin Lewis officiating interment immediately following services at True Vine Baptist Church Cemetery in Chatom.
