Clyde Leverne Hoffman, 84, of Chatom, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 in Macon, GA. He was born in Chatom on January 5, 1937 to Henry Hoffman and Mary Azaline Dykes Hoffman. He had been employed as the office supervisor at the Social Security Administration office in Jackson for many years and was a former member of Chatom First Baptist Church. He was a huge Alabama fan and enjoyed playing ping pong, checkers and Chinese checkers. He was a loyal alumnus of Montevallo University.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Juanita Hoffman and siblings, Susie Mae Durden, Elouise Faulkner, Leon Hoffman, John Henry Hoffman, Fannie Mae Parker, Ethel Gertrude Williamson, Annie Mae Hoffman, James Otis Hoffman, William Henry Hoffman and Mary Catherine Lewis.
He is survived by his sister, D. Joann Fricke; children, Britt (Shanna) Keene, Teresa Ball, Gwen Keene, Wyatt (Barbara) Keene, Jay Keene; grandchildren, Heather Keene, Aaron Keene, Sarah Mann, Sean Keene, Blane Mathews, Jessica Mathews, Kerry Keene, Tom Keene, Seth Keene; 23 great-grandchildren (and another on the way); one great, great-grandchild; and many precious nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Lathan Funeral Home with the Rev. Renea Henderson officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Chatom Town Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Keene, Sean Keene, Michael C. Hoffman, Tucker Johnson, Luke Mann and Blane Mathews.
