Colby R. Woodyard, 28, of Jackson, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021. He was born in Mobile on November 20, 1992. A gifted artist, he loved to draw most anything including animals, people, landscapes, etc. He also enjoyed fishing with his MawMaw, Becky Cotton and Miss Shirley Burge, riding motorcyles and road trips, regardless of the destination.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth Jones; uncle, Matthew Jones and great-grandparents, Robert H. McConnell, Sr. and Lorene G. Presnall.
He is survived by his mother, Marie (William) Piper; stepfather, Mikeal Finch: father, Randall Woodyard; siblings, Mallory (Hunter) Howard, Makenzie Laine Finch, Dalton Woodyard, Chase Woodyard, Peyton Woodyard; grandparents, Rebecca "Becky" Cotton (his second mom), Elaine Jones; nieces, Amelia Howard, Scarlett Howard and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Renea Henderson officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Charles Anderson, Mark Anderson, Drew Jones, Brad McKinley, Andy Wiggins and Chris Wiggins.
The Jackson High School Class of 2011 will serve as honorary pallbearers.
