Corey Lee Thomas

Corey Lee Thomas, 56 of Wagarville, passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones. Lee was born December 14, 1968 to Leo Spencer and Dixie M. Thomas. He worked at Olin Chemical for 24 years and had been attending Clearwater Assembly of God where he gave his life to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lee was an avid outdoorsman: hunting, fishing, golf, softball; Lee was most at peace when outdoors. Lee was very involved in sports having coached little league baseball and little league football for many years. He also coached softball at Jackson Academy where he was involved with practically all the athletic programs. Lee never met a stranger and rarely traveled without running into someone he knew. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Lee is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Billie Sue Thomas; sons, Garrett Thomas and Jack Thomas; daughter, Payton Thomas; parents, Leo Spencer and Dixie M. Thomas; sister, Shannon Etheredge (Claude); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Services will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 at Clearwater Assembly of God in Wagarville. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral begins at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Jimmy Butts officiating. Interment will follow in Clearwater Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Andy Tarver, Eddie Castle, Dale Thomas, J.J. Garris, Michael Sullivan, and Cooper Garris. Honorary pallbearers will be each and every one of his friends.
