Curtis Allen Howell, 74, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 at SAAD Healthcare in Mobile. He was born June 12, 1945 in Coffeeville. A member of Clearwater Assembly of God Church in Wagarville, he had retired from the payroll department at Boise Cascade. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife and family, eating out, yard work and adored his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Earline Pelham; stepfather, Cleave Pelham and brother, Roy Alvin Howell.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Hamilton Howell; children, Tammy Kay (Everett) Gates, Gregory Gene (Vivian) Howell, Cathy Rene (Chris) Woodham, Sharon M. (Randy) Guy; grandchildren, Brandon Curtis Howell, Caleb Neal Howell, Joshua Lance Watford, Zachery Allen Watford, Ashley Bedwell, Chandler Gates, Sonya (Matthew) McIntyre; great-grandchildren, Katie Grace McIntyre, Macy McIntyre, Autumn Watford, Aslan Watford, Shaddix Watford; brother, Eugene Howell and special friend, Larry Etheredge.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Trinity Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Butts officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Larry Etheredge, Chandler Gates, Brandon Howell, Caleb Howell, Matthew McIntyre, Joshua Watford and Zachery Watford.
Honorary pallbearers will be George Armstrong, Wayne Bedwell, Kendall Burge, Woodie Earl Dunagan, Randy Guy, Terry Hamilton, Eugene Howell, Wilbur G. Parden, Dorothy Newton and Sandy Scott.
In lieu of flowers, donations in him memory may be made to the Clarke County Animal Shelter.
