Daisy Smith

Daisy Carolyn Smith, 75, of Grove Hill, passed away November 1, 2018 at Covenant Care Hospice, Providence in Mobile. She was born August 25, 1943 to Ellis Gray Smith, Sr. and Jesse Lucile Armistead Smith, both of whom preceded her in death. She had been employed as an examiner with Vanity Fair and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Gove Hill. She was also an avid fan of Alabama football.
She is survived by her brother, Ellis Gray (Betty) Smith, Jr.; nieces, Phyllis (Richard) Davis, Karen (Joey) Stringer; nephew, Doug (Kristi) Smith and great nieces and nephews, Alex Davis, Matthew Davis, Brandon Harper, Lindsey Smith and Tanner Smith.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Grove Hill Town Cemetery with Rev. David Curtis and Dr. Tony Meinhardt officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be given to Pilots for Christ, P.O. Box 707, Monroeville, AL 36461.
