Daniel Craig Ross, 53, of Thomasville, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Providence Hospital in Mobile after an extended battle with Covid 19. He was born on August 11, 1968 in Selma to Allen and Peggy Ross. He grew up in Grove Hill where he developed a love of riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing and horseback riding. He was very talented in many ways and could build anything he set his mind to. His carpentry work was one of a kind. He loved people and would drop everything to help someone in need. He cherished his family including his pets, Max, Prince and Poncho.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jasen Thomas Ross; grandparents, Elvin Eugene "Sonny" Ross, Mary Jane (Ross) Knight, William Ervin Williams and Bertha Grey Williams.
He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth April Ross of Panama City Beach, FL, Kerri Lynn Ross of Thomasville; sons, Justin Allen (Brittany) Ross of Wilmer, Daniel Garrett (Cayla) Ross of Thomasville; brothers, Henry Allen Ross of Thomasville, Gunnery Sergeant Clarence Matthew Ross, stationed in Milwaukee, WI; sister, Lee Ann Ross (Alex) Crutchfield of Grove Hill; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill with Steffan Chapman officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill.
Pallbearers will be Tony Barnes, Gary Frith, Larry Gates, Mark Harrison, Alvin Patrick and Ryan Williams.
