Daphine Wilson Norris, 88, of Grove Hill, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Willow Brook Westminster Village in Spanish Fort. She was born in Grove Hill on January 14, 1932. She attended Clarke County High where she was a cheerleader for the Bulldogs. She and her family co-owned B.W. Wilson Timber Co. and B.W. Wilson & Son. She retired in 1991 and then enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Norris; parents, B.W. and Norma Wilson; brother, David Wilson and beloved nephew, Scott Wilson.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Smith of Spanish Fort and son-in-law, Rob Smith (who was more like a son); grandchildren, Bryan Smith of Spanish Fort, Clair S. (John) Selaya of Orange Beach and great-grandchildren, Wilson and Caroline Smith.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill with Dr. Bob Stauffacher officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill.
