DeAnne Dunagan Wilson, 53, of Grove Hill, passed away November 30, 2021 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She was born in Grove Hill on November 14, 1968. She had been employed as a magistrate with the City of Jackson and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jackson. A giving, loving person, she enjoyed spoiling those she loved. Her hobbies included cooking, crafting, decorating, shopping, University of Alabama football and riding motorcycles with her father.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wilson and father-in-law, Charles Wilson.
She is survived by her daughter, Savannah Wilson; parents, Ronal and Jeanette Dunagan; brother, Jim (Debbie) Dunagan; mother-in-law, Rebecca Wilson; brothers-in-law, Miles (Kerri) Wilson, Robin (Rachel) Wilson; nephews, Grady Dunagan, Gray Wilson; nieces, Skyler Wilson, Brittany Andrews, Allie Wilson, Lainye Wilson, Harley Loper; great-nephew, Lane Browder and numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Bassett Creek Baptist Cemetery in Grove Hill with Dr. Johnny Kendrick officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Anderson, David Dunagan, Grady Dunagan, Greg Dunagan, Jim Dunagan, Tyler Stephens, Miles Wilson and Robin Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dana Becton, Robyn Blaylock, Donal Dunagan, Michael Dunagan, Lindsey Overstreet, Jodi Wilson and the Grove Hill Academy Class of 1987.
