Delores B. Dunagan, 78, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born in Jackson on October 27, 1942 to Leslie Bumpers and Mary Lou McIntyre Bumpers. She was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Jackson. An outstanding cook, she enjoyed preparing lavish meals for her family, especially during the holidays. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed reading, writing and keeping detailed family memories. She was also a talented pianist and would occasionally play at church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steve Bumpers and granddaughter, Tiara Dunagan.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Dunagan; children, Lynnette (Willie) Williams, Robby Dunagan, Gaylyn Arnold; grandchildren, Corey (Avery) Arnold, Robin (B.J.) Roney, Keri (Trent) Harvell; great-grandchildren, Sawyer Arnold, Raelynn Arnold; siblings, Carl (Beth) Bumpers, Chris (Carol) Bumpers and numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Trinity Memorial Gardens with Dr. Sid Crosby officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson and conclude at 2:45 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Corey Arnold, Donald Chancey, Glenn Chancey, Rodney Chancey, B.J. Roney and Willie Williams.
