Dollie D. Jackson, 74, of Coffeeville, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Mobile Infirmary. She was born in Washington County on August 14, 1946 to Raybon Odell Miller and Velma Kirkland Miller. She was a member of Grace Chapel Church in Coffeeville and had been employed as a seamstress at Vanity Fair. She enjoyed spending time with her family and spent many hours making quilts and afghans for each of them. She was a gifted seamstress, preparing many articles of clothing for family and friends. She enjoyed collecting angels of all kinds and had an extensive collection throughout her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Travis Singleton.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Jackson; children, Renea (Joe) Henderson, Robbin Moody, Tracy Singleton; grandchildren, Andrew Johnson, Brian Moody, Cadey Moody, Jennifer (Jarrod) Channell, Kristian Singleton, Chad Henderson; siblings, Odell (Glendine) Miller, Donnie (Donald) Jackson, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Grace Chapel Church with the Revs. Anthony Miller and Renea Henderson officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Chad Henderson, Kevin Jackson, Ronnie Jackson, Andrew Johnson, Brian Moody, Jacob Motes, Joe Overstreet and J.P. Walker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jennifer Channell, Cadey Moody, Frankie Motes, Ben Newton, Kristian Singleton and members of Grace Chapel Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or any animal shelter.
