Donald Mccants

Donald Longmire McCants, Jr., 89, of Chatom, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Franklin on April 18, 1932. A member of True Vine Baptist Church in Chatom, he was also a member of the Harley Davidson Club in Mobile. He loved his job as a trucker driver, riding motorcycles and horses with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donavan Longmire McCants, Sr. and Connie Lillian McCants and brother, Roy Cree McCants.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gibson McCants; children, Donald Ray (Donna) McCants of Ward, Janice F. (Thomas) Moss of Chatom, Sharon (Gerald) Loper of Chatom, Connie McCants (J.R.) Hogg of Ward; ten grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great, great-grandchild and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later time yet to be determined.
