Donald "Don" Lloyd McLean, 75, of Thomasville passed away September 14, 2022 at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. He was born in Jackson, Alabama on December 8, 1946 to Lloyd McLean and Wilda Mae Duke McLean. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and National Guard and employed by Thomasville Lumber. He was a member of Pineview Baptist Church. He was a resident of the Sandflat Community, where his children reside as well. Don enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and bringing a smile to everyone he met.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry McLean and David McLean; wife, Margie Lassiter McLean; and son-in-law Jason Harrison.
He is survived by his children, Adam (Trinity) McLean, Kim Harrison, and Dana (Dave) Charles; grandchildren, Carolyn Beverly, Harlee McLean, Roman (Alexa) Beverly, Payton McLean, Emily Harrison, Gabbie Harrison, JJ Harrison, Julie Peters, and Catherine Charles; great-grandchildren, Layla, Maylynn, Cam, Stone, Nancy, and Dennis; siblings, Martha (Robert) Hutto, Maxine Presnell, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Springfield Methodist Protestant Church in the Sandflat Community of Thomasville with Rev. Paul Sims officiating. Visitation will from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Interment will follow the services at Choctaw Corner Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be James McLean, Mike Anderson, Michael Fendley, Brad Schroeder, Jeff Sellers, and Travis Council.
