Doris Henderson

Doris Henderson, 81, of Winn, passed away on August 5, 2024, at Mobile Infirmary. She was born April 9, 1943, to Amos and Jenny Motes Brooks. Doris worked at Vanity Fair in Jackson until she retired. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and caring for others. She was an avid Alabama Football fan and loved watching the games with her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Riley Henderson, daughter Theresa Roney, two brothers and two sisters.

Survived by her daughters Kathy (Elmer) Kersey, Anita Hughes, Paige (Terry) Brooks, son Stephen (Susan) Henderson, her sisters Dot McCully and Ann Sewell, eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Calvin Cassady, Andrew Lee, Cole Thompson, Bo Roney, Michael Anderson, and Chris Walker. Honorary pallbearers are Terry Brooks, Ben Farmer, Dustan Stringer, and Jeramy Allday.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with a visitation one hour prior to services with Bro. Fred Odom officiating. Condolences may be shared at www.lathanfuneralhome.com
