Doris Parnell

Doris Wayne Parnell, 75, of Chatom, died June 11, 2015 at Washington County Hospital. She was born July 10, 1939. She was a lifelong member of Fairhope Baptist Church of Tibbie and a homemaker.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Amon Howard and Alma Howard Beech; three children, Sherry Lynn Parnell, Charles W. Parnell, Jr., an infant daughter and three siblings.


She is survived by her husband, Charles William Parnell of Chatom; six children, Dora Jean Parnell, Terry W. Parnell, Cynthia P. (Randy) Reid, Rebecca (Joel) Teel, William L. Parnell and Charles Jason Parnell; nine siblings, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.


Visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at Fairhope Baptist Church in Tibbie with funeral services at 11 a.m. with Bro. Jack Beard and Bro. Rocky Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.


Active pallbearers are Jimmy Moss, Jonathan Howard, Adrian Copeland, Shane Copeland, Matthew Maherg and Jeff Trawick.
