Dorothy Chastain

Dorothy 'Dot' B. Chastain, 88, of Jackson, passed away September 30, 2024, at Jackson Medical Center. She was born January 12, 1936, to Woodrow and Marguriete Watkins Barnett. Dot was a member of Jackson First United Methodist Church. She loved gardening, planting flowers, enjoying her yard, and especially spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, and what would have been their 74th wedding anniversary, her husband Kenneth Coleman Chastain, grandsons; Scotty Alday and Woody Alday, sisters; Burma Jones, Joyce Few, Jan Alday.

Survived by her daughters; Debbie Leewright, Nickie (Grady) Alday, Angie (Bob) House, Sherry (David) Keasler; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Corey Leewright, Sam House, Will House, Travis House, Tony Alday, Chase Keasler, and Payton Keasler.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024, with a visitation one hour prior to services at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Bro.
