Dorothy Curry

April 5, 1940 — November 11, 2023

Dorothy "Dot" Curry of Frankville, born April 5, 1940, went to her heavenly home on November 11, 2023. Dot, known lovingly as Maw Maw, had a passion for sewing and was overwhelmed with joy to share that passion with others. She and her mother, Ethel, made countless lapthrows, baby blankets, and quilts for family, friends and anyone in need. Many of her lap throws and quilts have donned the beds of the nursing home over the years. Dot loved her church, brim fishing, front porch sitting and reading. Most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family.

Dorothy Curry is preceded in death by her husband, John Harvey Curry; parents, Oland and Ethel Kelley; brothers, James Donald Kelley and Michael Moorer; and granddaughter, Carletta Terlouw.

She is survived by her brother, Olan Kelley of Frankville; son, Lee (Robyn) Curry of Gulf Crest; daughter, Sheryl Hare of Frankville; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends, and all the adopted community children that called her Maw Maw.
