Dorothy Jernigan

Dorothy Jean Pritchett Jernigan, 89, of Robertsdale, formerly of Grove Hill, passed away on December 16, 2024. She was born on August 16, 1935, to parents Franklin Cleveland and Ruth Daisy Rush Pritchett. Dorothy worked at Vanity Fair and eventually owned and operated an upholstery shop in Fairhope, AL. She enjoyed the outdoors, working in her garden, planting flowers, and spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eric Jernigan, siblings Douglas Pritchett, Sadie Windham, Norene Lindsay, Douglas Pritchett Jr., and grandson Bryon Overton.

Survived by her children Peggy (Billy) Overton, Charles (Judy) Robinson, Darrell (Audrey) Robinson, and Renee (Matt) McKinney, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren and many other extended family members and loving friends.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m.at Asbury Baptist Church Cemetery in Grove Hill on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, with a visitation starting at 10:30 a.m.
