Dorothy Stinson

Dorothy 'Dot' Moss Stinson, 75, of Chatom, passed away on August 1, 2024, at Mobile Infirmary Hospital. She was born on October 13, 1948, to parents Victor and Lula Price Moss. Dot retired from Ciba Geigy, after retirement she devoted her time to her family. She enjoyed her pets, flowers in her garden, and especially her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her granddaughter Tahlya Chandler, parents Victor and Lula Moss, two sisters Mary Coxwell and Gracie Pearl Rivers, three brothers Tommy Ray Moss, James Lewis Moss, W.T. Moss.

Survived by her husband of 40 years Marvin Stinson, son Timothy Chandler, daughters Timi (Byron) Parnell, Tara Matlock, brother G.T. Moss, sisters Carolyn Beech, Betty Butler, Francis Brown, grandchildren Stephanie (Cody) Fowler, Tyler Stinson, Trista Starnes, Tollen Chandler, Tavin Chandler, Teya Chandler

Pallbearers will be Victor Moss, Steven Ray Moss, Joey Butler, Cameron Moss, Thomas Moss, and Raleigh Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Byron Parnell, Cody Fowler, Jerry Moss, and Dylan Moss

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom with a visitation one hour prior with Sister Naomi Brown officiating. Interment will be at the Chatom Town Cemetery following services. Online condolences may be shared at www.lathanfuneralhome.com
