Dorothy Hoven Wiggins, 61, of Grove Hill, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She was born in Jackson on June 29, 1959 to Angus M. Hoven and Mable Hoven. She was a very active member at Stave Creek Baptist Church in Jackson where she served on numerous committees and was employed at PCA (formerly Boise Cascade) in Jackson. Dorothy was a passionate fan of The University of Alabama football program, as well as the Jackson Aggies. She loved spending time with her family, especially when it was near the beach. She was a true servant of Christ who enjoyed helping others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stan Gregg; siblings, Ann Parden, Sarah Stanley and one step-grandchild, Gavin Pugh.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy Wiggins; step-children, Jessica (Jerry) Cameron, Natasha (Danny) Pugh; six step-grandchildren, Christen Pugh, Natalie Pugh, Emma Kate Pugh, Drew Cameron, Lydia Cameron, Oliver Cameron; siblings, Mildred Wade, Allen (Margie) Hoven, Henley (Debbie) Hoven, William (Wendy) Hoven, Pat Butts, Martha Jo (Raymond) Bedwell, Betty (Ralph) Bumpers; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill with Dr. Andy Goode, Rev. Wesley Hicks and Darren Williams officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Bumpers, Bubba Butts, Jerry Wayne Butts, John Kinman, Carl Wade and James Wade.
Honorary pallbearers will be member of her Stave Creek Baptist Church, members of her Sunday School class and the Adult Media program.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to Almost Home in Grove Hill.
