Earnest Graham Wilson

Earnest Graham Wilson, 86, passed away April 11, 2024. A lifelong resident of Jackson, Graham was born March 10, 1938 to Edd and Clyde Etta Wilson. Graham was a resident of Jackson and a longtime member of Stave Creek Baptist Church. Graham was a devoted husband and father; a very loving and giving man. As a young man, Graham served in the Alabama National Guard where he was activated during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was employed with Clarke Washington Electric for more than 36 years, retiring at the age of 76. Graham spent much of his time giving of himself and his talents, helping others with their HVAC and electrical needs. Graham was also an outdoorsman who loved hunting, especially spring turkey hunting with his family.

Graham is survived by his children, Britt Dwayne Wilson, Jennifer Dawn Shoultz and Christie Denice Outlaw (Maurie Grimes Outlaw); grandchildren, Austin Grey Wilson, Brittany Elizabeth Wilson, Jeremy Ivan Wilson (Tracy), Christopher Allen Shoultz (Anna), Stephen Randall Shoultz (Jennifer) and Graham Mack Outlaw (Brynn); great grandchildren, Hailey Alise Wilson, Brysun Lee Wilson, Bransun Levi Wilson, Madalyn Ann "Madi" Shoultz, Maci Rebecca Shoultz, Emelia Grace Shoultz, Elliot Graham Shoultz and Stephen Graham Outlaw; sister, Doris Hoven; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Faye Ryser Wilson; brother, James Edward Wilson; sister, Bernice Armistead; and son-in-law, Steve Shoultz.

Services will be held Monday, April 15, 2024 at Stave Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Mike Ballard officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Graham's memory to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.

Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Wilson, Christopher Shoultz, Austin Wilson, Mack Outlaw, Brittien Schultz, and Tommy Matthews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Graham's Sunday School Class at Stave Creek Baptist Church.
