Eddie Mae Anderson

Eddie Mae "Betty" Anderson, 92, of Hobson, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022, at her residence. She was born on January 8, 1930. An active member of Hobson Assembly of God Church, she had served as a Sunday School teacher and bookkeeper for many years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family who unanimously agreed that she was a "wonderful" cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Edward Roney and Thelma Parnell Roney and husband, William Louis Anderson, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Judy (Jerry) Wright, Janet (Billy Joe) Odom, Terry (Sandra) Anderson, Donnie (Michelle) Anderson, Lisa (Craig) Seabrook; grandchildren, Shannon (Anthony) McIlwain, Jason (Leslie) Anderson, Chance (Mandy) Anderson, Melissa (Lance) Easterling, Dusty (Ryan) Smith, Shane (Tiffany) Anderson, Cassie (Roger) Hadley, Jeremy (Nancy) Wright, Tara Beech, Sarah (Adam) Riley, Benjamin (Hope) Seabrook; nineteen great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph Roney and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Hobson Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Steve Foster, Rev. Sammy Taylor and Craig Seabrook officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Donna Beasley and Nancy Wright will handle music. Interment will follow the service in the Hobson Community Cemetery adjacent to the church with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Chance Anderson, Jason Anderson, Joel Anderson, Shane Anderson, Ben Seabrook and Jeremy Wright.
