Elizabeth Estelle Coaker, age 86, of Chatom, AL passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016. Mrs. Coaker was born in the Laton Hill community on May 19, 1929 to Bennie Gene Scarbrough and Edith Williams Scarbrough.For the past thirty years, she was a member of Minerva United Methodist Church. She loved sewing, traveling, puzzles, flying kites and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Woodrow Coaker son, Benny Gene Coaker and her parents. Survivors include her five children: Arthur Wayne (Sarah) Coaker of Millry, AL, Jerry G. (Audrey) Coaker of Deer Park, AL, Dennis L. (Lisa) Coaker of McIntosh, AL, Ronald Woodrow (Martha) Coaker of Deer Park, AL and Michele C. (Michael) Gunn of Millry, AL; one brother, Leroy Scarbrough; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 6-8PM at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom, AL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 10am at South Oak Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Gunn and Bro. Lowell Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Williams Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brian Coaker, Michael Coaker, Joshua Gunn, Landon Coaker, Timothy Coaker and Zachary Coaker. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren: Laken Payne, Ellie Burgess, Kinely Payne, Aiden Morris, Elijah Morris, Maddi Powell, Claire Powell, Jackson Harpole, Sara Beth Harpole, Ruston Derek Delmarter, Annah Lashay Coaker, Zachary Brian Coaker, Reese Turner and Riley Turner.
