Elizabeth Ann Martin Pearson, 75, of Leroy, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Providence Hospital in Mobile. She was born September 9, 1943 to Harold Dee Martin and Vera Adelle Wilkinson Martin in Mineral Wells, TX. She retired as the Court Administrator for the Mobile County Court System and was an active member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Leroy. She enjoyed sewing, painting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Regardless of her personal challenges, she was always present to support the grandchildren in their many activities. She was a special woman who loved her family with her whole heart, unconditionally. What a beautiful void she leaves for all who love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Harold Dean Martin and Jerry Nolan Martin.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Richmond Pearson; children, Lindee Adelle (Bubba) Gartman, Lee Elizabeth Pearson, Kathryn Bowling Pearson, Martin Richmond Pearson; grandchildren, Jessica Gartman, Paige Gartman (Johnny), Paul (Meg) Gartman, William Gartman, Jade Gartman, Elizabeth “Ella” Pearson; great-grandchildren, Jaylyn Thomas, Lainey Moseley, William Gartman, II; sisters-in-law, Dell Martin, Brenda Martin; sister, Linda Martin (Mac) McDonell; honorary grandchildren, Drake Keith and Brookelyn Keith along with many special nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jennifer Gregory and Spencer Turnipseed officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service at Bowling Family Cemetery, 24690 County Road 34, Leroy, AL with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Alexander, Martin Alexander, Paul Gartman, William Gartman, Ken Johnson, Dean Martin, Jason Webster and Tony Webster.
