A memorial service for Emma Louise Braun Reeves, 74, will be held at 4pm Friday, July 26 in the sanctuary at Leroy Baptist Church. There will be a visitation at 3pm.
Emma Louise Braun Reeves was born December 7, 1944 in Bigbee Alabama to the late Richard Braun and Tommie Atchison Braun Lee and was called to her heavenly home on July 23, 2019 in Daphne, AL. She gave over 30 years of dedicated service to Ciba Specialty Chemicals in McIntosh, AL. During that time she also became an EMT and a licensed paramedic and worked part-time for ambulance services in Mobile, AL. She was a CPR instructor and taught many people to perform the life saving technique. She acquired a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
After retirement, she enjoyed gardening, sewing and fishing. But she spent most of her spare time doing loving activities with her grandchildren. She was active in her church group and strong in her faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Carl Braun and Oscar Braun.
Left to cherish her beautiful memories will be one sister; Delvia Allen, one son; John J. Reeves, III (Bubba), one daughter Lisa Reeves Johnson and husband Steve and five grandchildren; Richard Reeves, Brandon Reeves, Jackson Reeves, Kristen Johnson and Grant Johnson.
