Eva Blackwell

Eva Lillian Parker Blackwell, 88, of Jackson, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on September 8, 2022, in Mobile. She was born July 6, 1934, to parents Searcy Metzger and Maybelle Barrow Parker. In her early years she enjoyed square dancing and camping. Cooking, sewing, and gardening was what she enjoyed doing in her free time, when she wasn't keeping her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her loving companion of 49 years, Eddie Blackwell, her son Paul D. Blackwell, and her brother Bobby Parker.
Eva is survived by her son, Alan (Donna) Blackwell, daughters Pat (Terry) Harvey and Cheryl (Devane) Overton. Grandchildren, David (Lucy) Blackwell, Rhonda (Sam) Wise, Michael Overton, Adam (Shenna) Blackwell, Kelly (Lee) Davis, Carrie (Dean) Hodge, Josh Overton, Heath Harvey, Luke (Lindsey) Blackwell, Kollyn (Tyler) Stillings, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Adam Blackwell, David Blackwell, Luke Blackwell, Heath Harvey, Josh Overton, and Michael Overton. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Hodge and William Reeves.
Funeral Services will be at 3 p.m. on September 11, 2022 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson, with Brian Pierce and Charles 'Chuck' Stringer officiating, with a visitation one hour prior to services.
