Evelyn Tucker

Evelyn Howard Tucker, 90, of Saraland, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Mobile Infirmary. She was born in Tibbie on Monday, July 20, 1931. A lifelong homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, crochet, knitting, cooking and dancing. She had a "green thumb" and raised beautiful flowers and loved to watch the butterflies in her flower garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Howard, Annie Lena Parnell Howard; husband, Edward Walton Tucker; daughter, Deborah Carol Tucker; special friend, David Werneth and siblings, Bessie Singleton, Fanny Whatley, Junior Howard, Dickie Howard, Billy Howard and Jeannie Howard.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Austin; grandchildren, Michael Edward Riede, Crystal Lyn Riede; great-granddaughter, Lauren Derkowski; sisters, Betty Presnall, Shirley Bazor and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Fairhope Baptist Church in Tibbie with the Rev. Chesford Carr officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Martin Bazor, Norman Jordan, Charles McGlasker, Bobby Presnall, Michael Riede and Billy Stamey.
