Fletcher O'Neal Andrews, 82, of Grove Hill, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. He was born October 7, 1939 to Coley Levon Andrews and Ruby McIntyre Andrews. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he had been employed as a heavy equipment operator prior to starting his own company, Andrews Contracting. He was an avid fan of the University of Alabama football program and also enjoyed deer hunting. He was a member of the International Operators Union in Mobile.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mack Andrews, Leon Andrews and Malvereen A. Drew.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne B. Andrews; children, Greg (Sharon) Andrews, Libby A. (Ron) Cumlander, Charlotte A. Parker, Scott (Ursala) Andrews; grandchildren, Vince (Jessica) Andrews, Jake (Savanna) Andrews, Katie C. (Jonathan) Braswell, Thomas C. Andrews, Kyle Cumlander, Lydia A. McBroom, Sam Tyler, Claire Tyler, Dennis N. Andrews; great-grandchildren, Adaline McBroom, Harper Andrews, Ellie Andrews, Gabe McBroom, Coley Andrews, Julia A. Braswell, Sophie Andrews, Fletcher Andrews, Emma Braswell; sister, Gladys Bradley and numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Smith Cemetery in Chilton with Ron Cumlander officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Vince Andrews, Kyle Cumlander, Ralph Gunter, Robert Jackson, Casey Smith and Sam Tyler.
