Frances Muriel (Carpenter) Brown Moss born on November 25, 1938 to Lee and Lettie Caten Carpenter of Alabama. She went home to be with our Heavenly Father on November 17, 2021, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She loved working with her flowers, but what she treasured the most was time spent with her family.
She is proceeded in death by her first husband, James Brown; and her husband of 55 years, Howard Moss; her parents Lee and Lettie Carpenter; her sisters Grace Sanderson, Marie Laton, Dessie Bonner, Lelia Hinton, Virginia Harris, Daisy Caten and Shirley Carpenter and her two brothers Mack Carpenter and Robert Carpenter.
She is survived by her three daughters, Gail (Brown) Moss (Phillip), Shelley Brown, Elizabeth (Moss) Rudolph (George) and her three sons, James A. Brown (Pam), Darron Moss (Jessica) and Thomas Moss (Janice). She was blessed with 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was loved by a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom with the Rev. Rickey Revette officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Springbank Baptist Church alongside her husband.
Pallbearers are Andy Moss, Casey Brown, Brad Coaker, Heathe Rudolph, Jeremy Moss and Cameron Moss.
