Frankey Belch, 91, of Jackson, passed away July 12, 2018 at Jackson Medical Center. He was born September 22, 1926 to Frank and Maude Belch in Kirkland, GA. A self-employed farmer in the Salitpa community, he was affectionately known as "The Pea Man." He genuinely loved animals of all kinds, especially cats, and enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pauline Belch Fleming and niece, Shirley Miller.
He is survived by nieces, Linda Fleming Xia, Patricia (Gerald) Smith, Charlotte Rice and numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Smith Cemetery in the Zimco community with the Rev. Bill Dortch officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson.
