Gail O'Guynn

December 5, 1941 - January 21, 2017





Gail Brown O'Guynn, age 75, passed away January 21, 2017 while surrounded by her family. Gail was born and raised in Jackson, AL to parents Gross and Nellie Brown. Upon graduating from Jackson High School she moved to Mobile, AL and worked in banking. It was there she met the love of her life and husband of 54 years, Robert O'Guynn. Gail and Robert married in 1962, moved back to Jackson, and three years later began a family. She then dedicated her life to raising her four children. Until her illness, she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Jackson where she served as the leader of the senior adult program for many years. She loved arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.



Her parents, Gross and Nellie Brown, preceded her in death.



She is survived by her husband, Robert O'Guynn; children Marlin (Michelle) O'Guynn, Clint (April) O'Guynn, Amy (Gary) Howell and Brad (Jeanna) O'Guynn; grandchildren Alex O'Guynn, Caty O'Guynn, Mandy O'Guynn, Mary Kate O'Guynn, Dawn O'Guynn, Levi O'Guynn, Travis Hayes, Tyler Hayes and Gailynn Hayes; great grandchild Madelyn Hayes; three sisters, Deloris (Raymond) Zachary, Ann (Lamar) Reid, Mary Nell (Ron) Shiflet; numerous other loving family and friends.
