George Lankford

George Mickey Lankford, 64, of Anniston, passed away September 11, 2018 at his residence. A Washington County native, he was born July 23, 1954, to Raymond Cleaveland and Gladys Pearl Roney Lankford. He enjoyed working, Alabama football and watching westerns.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeremy David Lankford and siblings, Jerry "Bubba" Lankford, Mary Susan Keith, Randy Lankford and Leigh Lankford.
He is survived by his wife, Lacy Lankford; daughter, Angela Michelle Lankford; siblings, Ray Lankford, Helen (Robert) Tarver, Katie Pledger, Vicky (Tony) Cooper, Cathy (Randy) Harrell, Perry (Trish) Lankford, Timmy (Katrina) Lankford, Mark Lankford, Phil (Debbie) Lankford, Polly (Timmy) Bozeman, Chris Lankford, Derek (DeAnna) Lankford; sisters-in-law, Diane Lankford, Tracy Marks Gates and brother-in-law, Hal Keith.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Revs. Robert Hall and Greg Lawrence officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Wagarville with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Castle, Brian Hayes, Christopher Lankford, Luke Lankford, Christopher M. Lankford and Mikey Strickland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Sullivan and Paul Laube.
