Glen Edward (Eddy) Douglas, 61, of Millry, passed away on March 7, 2023, at Springhill Medical Center. He was born on October 17, 1961, to parents Glen A. and Ruth Singleton Douglas. Eddy was a Superintendent for a company that specialized in cable stayed and other complex bridge types, with that job he worked all over the United States. He loved his home in Millry where he spent time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Fishing and boating were his favorite things to do, and of course he enjoyed Alabama football.
Preceded in death by his father Glen A. Douglas, brother-in-law Mark Manley.
Survived by his mother Ruth S. Douglas, wife Cindy Douglas, children Glen E. "Scooter" Douglas Jr., Ashlyn Marie (Nicholas) Drinkard, Stephen Ellis (Breanna) Douglas, Vonda (Sheldon) Timothy, Jason (Tiffany) Hammond, and Nichole Bruce. Grandchildren Cooper and Amora Drinkard; Madilyn Douglas; Sodonnia, Jacob, Lucas, and Madelin Wolform; Jason, Lizzabeth, Lyndin, Bryndin Hammond; Violet Rich; Patty Thompson; Lynnleigh Timothy. His sister Beverly Manley. Also many other extended family members and loving friends.
