Jacquelyn Howell

Jacquelyn Stanley Howell, 85, affectionately known as Jackie, died April 9, 2024. She was born May 11, 1938 to Price and Grey Stanley. Jackie was a resident of Jackson where she was a member of First United Methodist Church. She had co-owned and operated Howell's Fabric Center with her husband for nearly 32 years. Her customers were like family to her and she taught several of the to sew; Jackie was a beautifully talented seamstress. She also worked at CCARC when it first opened and was a volunteer at the Jackson Nutrition Center for many years. Jackie truly had a servent's heart and constantly did for others. Jackie was also blessed with a greenthumb and loved tending her yard and her beautiful flowers. She was truly a special woman who will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and community.

Jackie is survived by her children, Cindy Howell, Gary Howell (Amy), Ricky Howell (Susan), and LaShay Nelson (Mike); grandchildren, Brandon Howell, Kayla Wade, Andrew Howell, Diana Blackmon, Ethan Howell, Travis Hayes, Tyler Hayes, Gailyn Miller, Garrett Sinclair, Mary Ayden Nelson, Brock Nelson and Parker Kate Nelson; 15 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Price and Grey Stanley; husband Franklin D. Howell; brother, Eddie Stanley and grandson, Justin Howell.

Services will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 at First United Methodist Church of Jackson. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral begins at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Fred Odom officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens with Bro. Ralph Wooten officiating. Donations may be made in Jackie's memory to the Jackson Nutrition Center, P.O. Box 1096, Jackson, AL 36545.

Active pallbearers will be Drew Harper, Ethan Howell, Brandon Howell, Jared Loper, Andrew Howell, Michael Howell, Scott Sullivan, Todd Corley, Paul Stanley, Doug Baxley and Brock Nelson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and members of the Jackson Senior Center.
